About the job

We are looking for a Directional Driller to assist in the installation of underground piping, conduit, and fiber optic cabling. This position will assist with hand digging in trenches, filling potholes.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Class A CDL is highly preferred but not required

  • Approximately 1 year of experience in a laboring position in the utilities field.


Skills:

  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members

  • A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills

  • Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals

  • Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends when requested


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hand Digging and pot holing

  • Spot for Utilities

  • Loading Materials

  • Verify locates are correct

  • Maintains accuracy in all reporting functions

  • Learn the basic operation of Equipment

  • Be able to move equipment and backfill

  • Be proficient at equipment preventative maintenance (Greasing, Fueling, Changing basic parts)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Must have a valid driver’s license.
