About the job

As a project estimator, you'll be working with various departments to determine cost estimating for various jobs. In this role you will put your analytical mindset and exceptional Excel skills to great use! Our project estimator gathers info, analyzes data, and formulates accurate estimates. Your success will help ACG continue to provide the best service with the most accurate cost proposals possible!

Requirements

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:


Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience estimating for low voltage and fiber a plus

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Experience with information analysis

  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles

  • In depth knowledge of research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas

  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel a MUST

  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • Highly analytical with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Comprehensive reading and writing ability

  • Highly organized

  • Thoroughness and reliability


RESPONSIBILITIES:

As ACG’s project estimator, you will work with various departments, provide detailed reports, and maintain positive client relationships. Along your journey with ACG as our project estimator you can expect to:

  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents

  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals and other contract related documents

  • Computer costs accurately through thorough project analysis

  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information

  • Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information

  • Estimate a quantifiable characteristic of varied products, events or information

  • Estimate quantities and distances, determining, time, costs, resources, and materials needed to perform a work activity

  • Work seamlessly with other departments to compile all necessary information

  • Develop budgets

  • Establish vendor relationships


Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver’s license.
