This position is responsible for producing high-quality documentation and reviewing all documents for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and structure.  Additionally, this position will require a heavy load of reading with a high level of comprehension in order to assist with document creation for technical documents. This role requires a heavy amount of online research and reading.


The ideal candidate will have expert level reading comprehension skills and writing skills to match. Must have a high level of proficiency with Excel and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


TECHNICAL WRITER/EDITOR

  • Collaborate with technical staff

  • Analyze and manage existing and potential content

  • Create and maintain the information architecture / templates

  • Make high-quality documentation that meets standards, is appropriate and easy to use

  • Working with researches to ensure document accuracy

  • Reviewing documents for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style

  • Analyze solicitations to construct an outline and ensure all requirements are met.

  • Write or revise proposal content to achieve a targeted message and ensure articulated throughout the proposal

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure content, graphics, and requirements meet for a winning proposal

  • Organize, schedule, and conduct proposal kick-off meeting for all participants

  • Write, compile, review, and edit proposal materials

  • Manage proposal schedule

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and composition skills

  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and handle pressure

Requirements

  • A proficient writer with experience creating and managing proposal related documents

  • Experience in information technology proposals highly preferred

  • Must understand Government Federal contract proposal efforts

  • Must be familiar with the Government procurement lifecycle

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as accept direction

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (word, outlook, ppt, excel)

  • Excellent reading and writing skills in the English language

  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Great time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task effectively

  • Excellent reading comprehension skills

Must have a valid driver’s license.
